action
Fashion designer Ava lives in a California coastal town with her three best friends, ex-boyfriend Johnny, surf shop owner Jay, and business partner Susannah. The three live a quiet life until Ava's sister and husband are killed in an accident and Ava receives custody of their three children, who now have to move from Kansas to California.
Sixteen-year-old Bradin struggled with his own problems as a teenager, but tried to help his younger siblings wherever he could. Twelve-year-old Nikki has always liked her aunt, but she is a little dismissive of her aunt's attempt to live up to her sister's legacy. The eight-year-old Derrick has enough to do with understanding the big questions of life, death and family.
Ava has no choice but to take the help of her friends in bringing up the children: Susannah's clarity, Johnny's role as a father figure, and Jay's understanding of the youngsters help Ava.
occupation
The series was set to music at Scalamedia based on dialogue books and under the dialogue direction by Cay-Michael Wolf.
