Rosanna Lauren Arquette (born August 10, 1959 in New York ) is an American actress .

Life

Her grandfather, Cliff Arquette (1905–1974), was a television comedian, her father, Lewis Arquette, actor and co-founder of the satirical improvisation troupe "Committee". These influences sparked her interest in acting early on. Her siblings David , Patricia , Alexis and Richmond are or were also actors. Rosanna grew up in a liberal family, which, under the influence of the 68 generation, relied on free upbringing; she is the oldest of five siblings. At the age of 15 she decided to hitchhike around the United States and by the age of 17 she successfully sought several small stage and television roles.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Arquette held his own in the film business and has appeared in numerous films. Often she played unconventional, crazy, at times slightly eccentric women beyond social norms. The American became famous in 1985 when she starred alongside Madonna in the comedy Susan ... Desperately Wanted . She later directed and produced films as well. She directed and produced the documentaries Searching for Debra Winger (2002) and All We Are Saying (2005). From her marriage to John Sidel, Rosanna Arquette has a daughter named Zoe Sidel.

In August 2013, she married the investment banker Todd Morgan, the fourth marriage.

  • The members of the band Toto have repeatedly denied that the hit Rosanna was dedicated to her, which David Paich wrote when Rosanna Arquette was in a relationship with the Toto musician Steve Porcaro . Rather, their first name was "simply taken" for the song, which was otherwise already written, because it was a good title and refrain .
  • In 1992 she began to play the leading role in the film Flight into Adventure . After ten days, the production company stopped filming with the crew and hired new actors.
