Good Advice - Good advice is expensive is an American comedy film from the year 2001 .
action
In addition to his relationship with his girlfriend Cindy Styne, a journalist, stockbroker Ryan Turner also has a relationship with the wife of the publisher Donald Simpson. Simpson realizes this and lures Turner into an insider deal in revenge . He lets the promised transaction bust after Turner has invested money from his clients. Because of the lost funds, Turner loses his job. Cindy leaves him for a new lover, whom she follows to Brazil. Turner, reluctantly at first, takes up Cindy's column, in which inquiries from those seeking advice are answered because the situation does not offer him any other source of income. So successful in this role that the media wanted to interview Styne.
Turner is negotiating - allegedly on behalf of Styne - with editor-in-chief Page Hensen about working conditions. He accompanies them to the introduction of a performance artist who fills his anus with paint and splatters a wall with paint in front of an audience. Turner is shocked to see some of the paint on his face. When saying goodbye, he is kissed by Hensen.
As the publisher of a competing magazine, Donald Simpson makes an offer to poach Styne. Turner reveals the deception to Hensen, which ends up with Turner and Hensen ending up in bed. You will be surprised by the Styne returned from Brazil. Styne wonders and says that Turner doesn't like women with brains , to which he replies that he loves Hensen. Hensen doesn't want Styne to return to her job.
Styne accepts Simpson's offer. Borrowing from friends, Turner buys shares in the Simpsons group of companies, which rise in value after Styne's move is announced. Turner sells the shares and also counts on falling prices ( short-selling ) before it becomes apparent that Styne is not the person who made the column a success in recent months.
In the final scene, Turner writes a letter to himself asking how he should propose marriage to the love of his life . Hensen reads the letter and agrees to the marriage.
