Estelle Harris (* 4. April 1928 in New York as Estelle Nussbaum ) is an American actress , voice actress and comedienne .

life and career

Estelle Harris' parents were Anna and Isaac Nussbaum, Jewish immigrants from Poland who owned a candy store. Since 1954 she has been married to her fellow actor Sy Harris, with whom she has three children.

Harris made after a long theater career in 1977 her film debut in the Jewish family film head up since she took some small film roles and many guest appearances on US television. In the 1990s, she was best known for her recurring supporting role as Estelle Costanza, George Costanza's mother and Frank's wife, in 27 episodes of the sitcom Seinfeld . In the Disney sitcom Hotel Zack & Cody , she took on the role of the lazy hotel cleaning lady Muriel between 2005 and 2008.

Harris lent her voice to Mrs. Potato Head (German version: Charlotte Naseweis ) in the animated films Toy Story 2 , Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 . Harris also dubbed characters like Lula, the Enchanted Sword in Barbarian Dave , Mama Lipsky in Kim Possible , Thelma in The Prouds , the old bear in Brothers Bear (2003), Audrey the Chicken in the cartoon The Cows Are Going (2004) and the mother of death at Family Guy .
