The Tick is an American animated television series that based on the comic book series The Tick was produced in three seasons from 1994 to 1997.

concept
Like the original comic, the series parodies the genre of superhero comics. Well-known comic heroes like Wonder Woman or Batman are caricatured here as listless heroes who meet in a bar in the evening, drink too much and prefer to practice sarcastic dialogues instead of fighting crimes.

Between 1994 and 1997, 36 episodes were produced in three seasons and, from 1994 onwards, on NBC, and in Germany from October 8, 1995, every Sunday at 10:15 am as part of the children's program window TrickSieben on ProSieben . There were repetitions on German-language television until 2004, including on Sat.1 , kabel eins and Tele 5 .
From 2001 a remake of the series was filmed as a live-action TV series and in 2017 a video-on-demand series.
