Halo of Gunfire is an American deathcore and death metal band from Santa Maria , California that was formed in 2006.
history
The band was formed in 2006. This was followed by a first self-titled EP via High Fidelity Records in 2008, whereupon the band consisted of bassist Daniel Anderson, drummer Taylor Bennett, guitarists Cal Martinez and Logan Bennett, and singer Max McCoy. Then the group reached a contract with Unique Leader Records , which in 2010 released the debut album Conjuring the Damned .
style
According to Patrick Olbrich from metal.de, the band plays untypical metal on Conjuring the Damned for Unique Leader Records, as they focus less on brutal death metal , but rather the group can be classified between oppressive death metal and deathcore. As a comparison he used Job for a Cowboy , who in the course of their career turned more and more away from classic deathcore and brought in more modern and technically demanding death metal influences. The songs would contain breakdowns and the vocals would be reminiscent of Whitechapels Phil Bozeman.
