action

1876: The film begins on the banks of the Little Bighorn River , a few hours after the battle. The troops around General Terry and Colonel Gibbon find a burnt-out Indian camp and conclude that something bad must have happened. As riders approach, they discover that the riders are Marcus Reno and Captain Benteen, who were under the command of General Custer and who were some of the few who survived a major battle. On Terry's orders, they're sent out to find Custer. They eventually find Custer in the hills near the shore, but it's too late. General Custer and about 250 of his men were destroyed by the Indians. The film now goes into a flashback and tells Custer's story from the perspective of his loyal, loving wife Libby. Your narrative begins with the Kansas Campaign in the mid-1860s during the Civil War.

At the same time, the Indian perspective is told from the point of view of Kate Bighead, a young Cheyenne woman who Custer meets several times in the course of the plot. It describes the events surrounding the Fetterman massacre and the battle on the Washita River . The Sioux chief Crazy Horse rubs up a division of the US cavalry in an ambush. This defeat shocks the nation. A merciless fight against the Sioux begins. General Custer is supposed to bring down the rebellious Indians.

But then gold is found in the Black Hills . A small group of Indians does not want to be deported to the reservations without a fight. Under the leadership of Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull , they join forces to resist. The army moves out on a campaign.

On June 25, 1876, the Battle of Little Bighorn broke out . General Custer and most of his troops are slain down to the last man by the warriors of the Sioux and Cheyenne under Crazy Horse. After the battle, the Indians rob the dead and separate. Sitting Bull goes to Canada while Crazy Horse continues the fight for six months. In Fort Robinson he surrenders and is killed with a bayonet by a soldier when he refuses to be locked in a prison and escapes from it. Sitting Bull is later shot dead by the Indian police. This ends the Indian Wars .
