What About Brian is an American comedy-drama television series directed by Dana Stevens and produced by JJ Abrams ' Bad Robot Productions . The series premiered on April 16, 2006 on ABC . From May 16, 2006, ABC produced a second season of the series, which premiered on October 9, 2006. Overall, however, the number of episodes of the second season was subsequently reduced by ABC to 19 episodes, the last episode was broadcast on March 26, 2007. The German premiere took place on August 20, 2011 on sixx .

Brian Davis is the only one of his friends who is 34 years old and still not in a committed relationship. His best friend, attorney Adam Hillman, recently got engaged to Brian's longtime girlfriend, Marjorie, with whom Brian is secretly in love. Another friend, Dave Greco, is co-founder with Brian of Zap Monkey , a company that designs and produces video games. He can't wait to find a wife for Brian, he's been married to Deena for 13 years and has three daughters. His older sister Nicole recently married the Italian model Angelo Varzi and is already pregnant with a girl named Bella . Despite his many bankruptcies with women, Brian has not yet given up hope for great love. Because he is in love with Marjorie, Brian believes that she is the reason for his failure. Brian's search for love leads to some tangles and tests his friends' picture-book relationships in the process.

The sixth episode was not broadcast; it was only released on DVD in September 2007 along with the entire series. The German-language premiere (excluding Episode 6) sent the Austrian free TV transmitter ORF 1 from 22 December 2007 until March 1 of 2008.
