Manja Doering

Manja Doering (born September 3, 1977 in East Berlin ) is a German actress . As a voice actress she is the German voice of Natalie Portman , Reese Witherspoon , Rebecca Hall , Greta Gerwig and Jessica Chastain, among others .

Life

Doering comes from a family of actors. She is the daughter of Rainer Doering and the sister of Alexander Doering . At the age of nine she began to speak first dubbing roles for the DEFA studio for dubbing in Berlin-Johannisthal . She received her first major leading role in 1994 when a new German dubbed version was produced for the video release of the Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and she was cast as the protagonist. After graduating from high school, she completed her acting training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 1998 to 2002 , followed by a two-year engagement as an actress at the Grips Theater in Berlin.

In parallel to her stage work, Doering completed her classical vocal training, worked as an actress in German television productions such as Großstadtrevier (2004) or Unveiled Skin (2005) and performed various speaking roles in film and television synchronizations. In 2003 she was awarded the German Synchronous Award for her outstanding young talent as the voice of Reese Witherspoon in Ernst sein is everything .
