Terrorists raid a shop where they take the teenagers Cliff Spab, Wendy Pfister and Joe Dice hostage . They film what is happening and request that the tapes recorded be broadcast.

While his friend Joe is killed in the robbery, the working-class Cliff becomes a hero as one of the surviving hostages as the tapes broadcast in the media for the next few days .
