Bridget Catherine Regan (born February 3, 1982 in San Diego County , California ) is an American film , television and stage actress .

biography

Bridget Regan grew up in a irish - Catholic Family. As a child she made her first appearances as a child actress in her hometown of Carlsbad . Among other things, she appeared at the theater in plays such as The Wizard of Oz . Regan later studied at the University of North Carolina School of Arts .

Since 2006, Regan has appeared in several films and television shows in the United States. She starred in The Wedding Album (2006), Blinders (2006), Supreme Courtships (2007), The Babysitters (2007) and Sex and the City - Der Film (2008). She has also had guest roles in well-known American television series, such as Love Monkey (2006), Criminal Intent (2006-2007), The American Experience (2007), Six Degrees (2007), The Black Donnellys (2007 ) and New Amsterdam (2008).

From 2008 to 2010, Regan played the mother of Confessor Kahlan Amnell in the fantasy series Legend of the Seeker , which is based on Terry Goodkind's book The Sword of Truth . For this role she had to dye her natural red hair a brunette . After a successful first season, a second season was produced. After that, production was stopped. The series was first broadcast on German free TV on October 11, 2009 on ProSieben . From 2016 to 2018 she played the role of Sasha Cooper in the series The Last Ship .

Bridget Regan gave birth to a daughter in December 2010. She had managed to keep the pregnancy hidden from the paparazzi and fans for 9 months. In 2018 she became the mother of a son. The father of her children is her husband Eamon O'Sullivan.
