action
The 23-year-old student Jane Villanueva wants to become a writer and works as a teaching assistant. She is still a virgin. She learned from her grandmother: Telenovelas are the best entertainment and you have to keep your virginity. She adheres to this rule because she doesn't want to be a mother as young as her mother Xiomara. Her fiancé Michael, who works for the local criminal investigation department, accepts this and is willing to wait until their wedding night to have sex. In order to make ends meet, Jane works in a hotel in Miami .
At an event at this hotel, she meets Rafael, whom she met and kissed five years ago. The next day, Jane has an appointment with her gynecologist to have a smear taken. Dr. However, Alver is not quite at the point, since she had caught her wife with her affair the night before, and mixes up the room numbers, which is why Jane is accidentally inseminated, which she does not notice immediately because she fell asleep briefly. As it turns out two weeks later, Jane is pregnant. The father is none other than Rafael, the hotel heir from five years ago, who had his semen frozen before chemotherapy. Since Rafael and his wife Petra were in a marital crisis, Petra wanted to get away from Rafael's sister, Dr. Alver, let it fertilize. Jane has to decide whether she wants to keep the child or not. Her decision-making process is complicated by the different interests of her fiancé Michael, the child's biological father, and his wife Petra.
While Michael is shadowing Roman, Rafael's best friend, he finds out that he is having an affair with Petra. Roman is later murdered, which is why Petra Rafael hides the affair. However, he finds out anyway and wants a divorce. Since the two have not been married for five years, Petra would not get a share of the property on the basis of a marriage contract; However, she tries to prevent this by all means, among other things, her mother hits her black eye, for which she reports Rafael. Later, however, he can refute this with the help of an employee and finally separates from Petra.
Meanwhile, Jane learns of Petra's affair and reports it to Michael, because she decides not to give the baby to Rafael. However, when she finds out that Michael already knew about the affair, she feels hurt and breaks up with him, because they had originally promised to be honest. In the evening she meets Rafael, who has realized about his feelings for Jane, and the two kiss.
