action
After the accidental death of their wife and mother, the Forney family fell into lethargy. The son Thomas tries unsuccessfully to buy the wrecked car, while his father Paul struggles with depression and seeks help in a self-help group. In the middle of this scene, the rowdy Hesher nests in the apartment without being asked. He sets the car of one of his son's adversaries on fire and lives otherwise chaotically. When he is caught in bed with Nicole, a secret crush of his son, there is a conflict. After the grandmother's death, Hesher rolls through the streets with her coffin one last time, as he has promised her a walk. Thomas and his father join in. To say goodbye, Hesher leaves the compressed wrecked car in front of the family house and Paul cuts off his beard so that “his face can get air again”.
criticism
"For a long time it is unclear whether 'Hesher' is a failed attempt at a black comedy or simply an uncomfortable drama."
