Torah Birch
Thora Renee Birch (born March 11, 1982 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress .
Life
Birch was born in 1982 in Los Angeles as the first child of the two porn actors Jack Birch and Carol Connors. They met while filming the film Deep Throat and they have another child, a son. Jack Birch later acted as his daughter's manager.
Career
Beginnings
From the age of four, Birch appeared in commercials. As an actress, she first appeared in front of the camera at the age of six when she received a recurring role in the short-lived series Day by Day in 1988 . She made her film debut in the same year in the film Purple People Eater . She received the Youth in Film Award for her portrayal . The film itself was a failure with the audience. In 1991 she starred in the film Summer Paradise on the side of Melanie Griffith , Don Johnson and Elijah Wood . Birch received the Young Artist Award for this role .
Child and youth roles
The following year, Birch stood for director Phillip Noyce for the filming of Tom Clancy's bestseller The Hour of the Patriots in front of the camera. In 1993 she starred in the youth film Hocus Pocus on the side of Bette Midler , Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy . She was once again awarded a Young Artist Award for her portrayal . Birch played her first leading role in 1994 in the comedy Always Trouble for Dojo by Franco Amurri . In Das Kartell , based on another Tom Clancy novel, Thora Birch played the daughter of Harrison Ford again .
