Star Wars: The Forces of Destiny (original title: Star Wars Forces of Destiny ) is an American animated series that takes place in the fictional Star Wars universe of George Lucas . The series is part of the official canon of the Star Wars universe.

The series highlights some of the adventures of well-known Star Wars characters in short episodes , including Rey , Ahsoka Tano , Jyn Erso , Padmé Amidala , Princess Leia , Sabine Wren , Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca . Each episode lasts two to three minutes. In the fall of 2017, two half-hour TV specials were broadcast, each containing eight episodes from the first season together with new scenes from the narrator of the storyline Maz Kanata.
Production and publication
The series was created by Lucasfilm Animation and directed by Brad Rau. Screenwriters are Dave Filoni and Jennifer Muro.
The first eight episodes were broadcast on the Disney Channel on July 9, 2017. The episodes have been published on Disney's YouTube channel since July 3, 2017. The specials will be shown on the same channels in autumn 2017. The second episode was shown as a world premiere at the Star Wars Celebration in April.
The German-language first broadcast took place from July 15, 2017 on Saturdays on the Disney Channel and then in its app and the following day on the YouTube channel. The episode Ewoks on the run was published exclusively in German on the MSN Germany website on July 5, 2017.
