Wanja Gerick (born February 16, 1981 in Berlin ) is a German dubbing actor , dubbing director and dialog book author .

Life

Act

Gerick has been working as a voice actor for various television series , films , computer games and as a speaker for radio plays since 1993 .

He was best known for his dubbing of Hayden Christensen . He spoke among others Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005). He has dubbed Jared Padalecki ( Gilmore Girls , Supernatural ) several times . He did the role of Charlie Todd in Dawson's Creek . He also dubbed Chris Pratt in Everwood and, from season four, on OC, California . In Hollywood productions he often takes on the dubbing of supporting roles. He was also the voice actor of Krillin in the German version of Dragon Ball Z . From 2008 to 2011 he also played the leading role of Yūsei Fudō in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s . He has been speaking to Kai in the series Ninjago since 2011 .

He regularly recorded audio books for the Kim Possible series . In 2007 and 2008 he recorded radio plays for the series Ghostbusters John Sinclair . He also spoke radio plays for the Winnie the Pooh series. In 2010 he was one of the guest stars of the "Jedi-Con 2010", the sixth official Star Wars convention, in Düsseldorf .

Private

In 2009 he finished his studies in media informatics at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences in Berlin . He presented his diploma thesis in 2007 under the title “Integration of animated 3D objects in filmed material - The use of HDRI for synthetic lighting”. In 2009 he finished his master's thesis together with Ozan Ünal . It bears the name: "Testing and development of 3D interaction techniques for several users".
