Joshua Baret Henderson (born October 25, 1981 in Dallas ) is an American actor and singer .

life and career

Henderson grew up with his mother and spent most of his youth in Oklahoma and Texas . He graduated from Tulsa Memorial Senior High School in May 2000 . He went back to Texas and applied for the Pop Stars 2 show in Dallas in 2001 . Henderson was in a relationship with Ashlee Simpson for two years , so he appeared on several episodes of the Ashlee Simpson Show .

He began his career with a guest appearance in My Family - Really Embarrassing and Do Over - Back to the 80s . This was followed by the first feature films such as Newton and Leeches! . From 2002 to 2003 he was seen as Josh in One on One and 2005 in My Wild Daughters .

In the television series Over There - Kommando Irak (2005) he played Corporal Bo Rider. In the first episode, Bo is injured by a mine and the lower leg of his right leg has to be amputated . The following episodes describe in their own subplot how Bo first wants to return to his unit by all means and then, back home, tries to deal with the situation with his wife and young son. For the scenes in which you can see the missing leg, his cousin Clint Mabry, who lost his leg in an accident, stepped in as his body double.

He is best known for his role as Austin McCann on the third season of the hit ABC series Desperate Housewives . He was seen there in episodes 2 to 16 as the nephew of Edie Britt ( Nicollette Sheridan ). His character was a little boy interested in school who befriended Julie Mayer ( Andrea Bowen ), who was initially hostile to him. He then starred in the films April, April - Dead Don't Joke and in The Jerk Theory . He was also seen in the video for "He Said She Said" by Ashley Tisdale . He also had a three-part guest role as Sean Cavanaugh in 90210 from 2008 to 2009 .

In February 2011 he got the lead role of John Ross Ewing III in the television series Dallas , the sequel to the television series of the same name from the 1980s. In it he played the son of JR and Sue Ellen, played by Larry Hagman and Linda Gray .
