Nicollette Sheridan (born November 21, 1963 in Worthing , England ) is an American actress of British origin.

Career

She began her career as a model at the world's largest modeling agency, Elite Model Management . Sheridan became known in the 1980s, mainly through the representation of Paige Matheson in the television series Knots Landing . Her worldwide breakthrough came from 2004 with the US television series Desperate Housewives in the role of Edie Britt, which she played until 2009.

In 2010, she sued the producers of the series and the broadcaster ABC for alleged abuse, discrimination and unjustified dismissal, but could not prevail in several instances.

Private

Her mother was married to actor Telly Savalas for a while; Sheridan's half-brother, actor Nick Savalas , also comes from this marriage .

Sheridan was married to Harry Hamlin from 1991 to 1993 . From 2006 she was engaged to Michael Bolton , this engagement was dissolved in 2008. The two were a couple back in the 1990s.

In 2009 she was Richard Lugner's guest at the Vienna Opera Ball .
