Fly Me to the Moon 3D is a Belgian 3D - animated film from 2008. The first performance took place on January 30, 2008 in Belgium. The action revolves around three flies that take part undetected on the Apollo 11 moon expedition in 1969.
The production costs amounted to 17.3 million euros. In addition to the full-length version, shorter editions were produced for 4D cinemas in amusement parks and museums. A 49-minute version was shown in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Great Britain and the USA from summer 2007. There is also a 13-minute version of Ride for amusement parks in the USA.
The film was also sold on DVD from 2008 , in the original version with 3D effects and two 3D glasses included with the DVD, as well as in a 2D version for conventional screen display.
On August 18, 2011, the film was released for the first time in a German dubbed version.
