Ashley Tisdale
Ashley Michelle Tisdale (born July 2, 1985 in West Deal , Monmouth County , New Jersey ) is an American actress , singer and voice actress . She gained international fame through the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel television series Hotel Zack & Cody (2005–2008) and through the role of Sharpay Evans in High School Musical (2006), High School Musical 2 (2007) and High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008).
Life
Ashley Michelle Tisdale was born on July 2, 1985 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Her parents are Lis Tisdale, geb. Morris, and Mike Tisdale. She grew up in Ocean Township and has a sister named Jennifer Tisdale who is four years older and also works as an actress. Her maternal grandfather is Arnold Morris, the developer of Ginsu Knives. Her mother is Jewish and Tisdale considers herself Jewish too. She was discovered in a mall by Bill Perlman, her current manager , when she was three. She starred in nearly 100 commercials. At the age of eight, she played a leading role in the Broadway - musicals Les Misérables and toured around the world with the musical Annie . She played in the stage productions Gypsy: A Musical Fable and The Sound of Music at the Monmouth County's Jewish Community Center. It was only through the series Hotel Zack & Cody (2005–2008) and the film series High School Musical (2006–2008) that she achieved her breakthrough.
On September 8, 2014, she married her long-time friend, the musician Christopher French.
Career
Ashley Michelle Tisdale had her first television appearance in 1997 in the television series Smart Guy . A year later she was working as a voice actress for the cartoon The great crawling . This was followed by several episode appearances in various television series, such as Beverly Hills, 90210 and Boston Public . 2001 Ashley Tisdale played a supporting role in the cult film Donnie Darko with Jake Gyllenhaal . After that, she increased her acting activities and was increasingly seen in American series such as Strong Medicine: Two doctors like Fire and Ice and Malcolm in the middle . Ashley Tisdale made her breakthrough in 2005 with her role as Maddie Fitzpatrick in the television series Hotel Zack & Cody , and she also had a guest appearance on the series Zack & Cody on board the Disney Channel . Her best-known roles include Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical trilogy, in which she plays the spoiled and selfish twin sister of Ryan Evans ( Lucas Grabeel ).
Her songs Bop to the Top and What I've Been Looking For (both with Lucas Grabeel) hit the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2006 . Both songs are from High School Musical . Another song is Kiss the Girl . On February 6, 2007, Ashley Tisdale released her first solo album called Headstrong , of which her first release was entitled He Said She Said and was her first solo chart hit. On October 12, 2007, Ashley Tisdale made her first German appearance on Viva and in the same month released her debut single Be Good to Me in Germany.
On June 12th, 2009 the second solo album Guilty Pleasure will be released . It's Alright, It's OK was released as a pre-single in early May .
Tisdale had her first major live appearance in Germany at the 2009 COMET Awards in Oberhausen. This was followed by the live appearance at Wetten, dass ..? in Palma de Mallorca , where she sang her single It's Alright, It's OK .
In 2008, Tisdale was one of the best-paid young actors in Hollywood , according to Forbes Magazine . Since then she has also worked as a model for mini skirts. Between June 2007 and June 2008, she received wages of $ 5.5 million and, along with Emma Watson , ranked sixth behind Daniel Radcliffe , Miley Cyrus , Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen , the Jonas Brothers and Zac Efron .
In October 2011, Tisdale announced that it had sold a comedy series to ABC . In Under Construction , Tisdale will be the lead actress and co-producer. The series is said to be based in part on her life.
