Halfpipe Feeling (Original title: Cloud 9 ) is an American television film directed by Paul Hoen from 2014 with Dove Cameron and Luke Benward in the lead roles. The film revolves around the preferred snowboarder Kayla Morgan, who trains with her boyfriend Nick Swift for the "Fire and Ice" competition. Shortly before the competition, Nick's father, who has long been hating Kyla and who is also the coach of the Swift team, realizes that Kayla cannot lead the team to success and decides to get rid of her. By a planned mishap, Kayla is accused of breaking a Will Cloud's billboard, which is actually thanks to the Swift team. Will Cloud ended his snowboarding career a year ago when he was seriously injured in the 'Fire and Ice' competition. Now Will works in his mother Andrea's dog salon.

Of course, Kayla's father pays for the broken billboard, but to make up for it, she has to help out at the pet groomer every day after school. At first the two hate each other, but they get to know each other better and better. Kayla has to realize through Will that she was only on Nick's team because her father owns the holiday and ski resort and who has always supported the team financially. Kayla is now ambitious and with Will's help she begins to train hard. The two fall in love and have to fight not only with their fears, but also against the competition from Nick and his team.
