Linda Ann Gray (born September 12, 1940 in Santa Monica , California ) is an American film producer , director and actress .

Life

Her best-known role was that of Sue Ellen Ewing in the television series Dallas , which she held from 1978 to 1989 and 1991. In the sequel to the Dallas television series, she slips back into the role of Sue Ellen after more than twenty years .

Linda Gray was married to Ed Thrasher from 1962 until their divorce in 1983 and has two children, Kehly (now Kehly Sloane ) and Jeff . She is a co-owner of the production company LG Productions, Inc.

She was close friends with Larry Hagman , who played her husband and the show's villain as JR Ewing in Dallas .

In 1982 Gray was awarded the Bambi and the Bronze Bravo Otto in Germany. In 1990 she and Larry Hagman had a guest role in the successful RTL series Ein Schloss am Wörthersee .
