Models Inc. is an offshoot of the Melrose Place series . Here Amanda's mother Hilary Michaels (played by Linda Gray ) and her models played the leading roles. Both Linda Gray and Cassidy Rae (Sarah Owens) and Stephanie Romanov (Teri Spencer) appeared on Melrose Place at the end of season two. Daphne Zuniga and Grant Show starred in the pilot for Models Inc. The series had a total of 29 episodes in the 1994/1995 TV season.
The future Matrix actress Carrie-Anne Moss played her first major series role here.
Stephanie Romanov played two roles: In the pilot episode, Teri Spencer, embodied by her, was killed. The producers were so excited, however, that they continued to feature her in flashbacks , and eventually they created a new role for Romanov: starting with episode 9, she returned to the series as Teri-Look-A-Like Monique Duran.
Since the series had bad ratings, it was decided, similar to Melrose Place with Heather Locklear , the former The Denver clan beast Emma Samms as a scheming Grayson Louder in the series. But it didn't help and the series was finally discontinued in the summer of 1995. A real ending was shot especially for the European market, in which Grayson is shot and Hilary closes the modeling agency.
