A Touched By An Angel (US title: Touched By An Angel ) is an American television series that was produced in nine seasons between 1994 and 2003. A total of 212 episodes were created.

Monica, Tess and Andrew are angels who were sent to earth by God to help people in trouble and need.
Her path leads her through all US states , and there are encounters with a wide variety of personalities. However, the aim of the angels is clear; to tell people about God's love.

The television series, created by John Masius , was a huge success in the United States. Eleven Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations, to name just a few film awards, were the result of many years of filming.
Offshoot
On their travels, the angels also get to know the Greene family, whose father is Russell Greene ( Gerald McRaney ). The Greenes appear in several episodes of the series. Screenwriter Martha Williamson decided to produce a standalone series. A wink of the sky was produced from 1996 . So the 36th episode A New Beginning from season three forms the pilot episode of Ein Wink des Himmels .
Others
- John Masius' original script was much darker than it was eventually shown on the series. In it, Tess was a chain-smoking angel who often pounded Monica's throat.
- The first posters for the film comedy Dogma contained the slogan " Get 'touched' by an Angel ". CBS sued against this reference to the original title of the series.
