Delta Ramona Leah Burke (born July 30, 1956 in Orlando , Florida ) is an American actress .

Life

Delta Ramona Leah Burke was born to her single mother, Jean. After her mother and the real estate agent Frederik Burke got married, she was adopted by him without having met her biological father. In 1974 she graduated from Colonial High School . She has been modeling since 1972. Not only did she win the local fire department beauty pageant as Miss Flame , the fire department country's beauty pageant, but was also the youngest ever winner to be awarded the title of Miss Florida in 1974. As a result, she automatically entered the Miss America competition in 1975 and received a scholarship that enabled her to study for two years at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art .

Delta Burke has been married to actor Gerald McRaney since May 28, 1989 . Both have no children together, although McRaney has children from a previous relationship. The couple live together in Los Angeles , Telluride, Colorado, and New Orleans .

Burke is a designer and founder of her own fashion label Delta Burke Design . She also shares an antique shop with McRaney in Collins, Mississippi. In addition to her diabetes , Burke was also diagnosed with messie syndrome , which is why she was receiving treatment.
