Charlie Schlatter

Charles Thomas Schlatter (born May 1, 1966 in Englewood , New Jersey ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Charles Schlatter grew up in Fair Lawn , New Jersey. He played theater at Memorial Junior High School and later received his bachelor's degree in musicals from Ithaca College . Already after his feature film debut in 1988 alongside Michael J. Fox in The glaring lights of the big city , Schlatter had three leading roles in the two films Endlich again 18 and Heartbreak Hotel in the same year . He gained international fame at the side of Dick Van Dyke in his role as Dr. Jesse Travis in the television series Diagnosis: Murder , which he impersonated in 138 episodes from 1995 to 2001. He also wrote a screenplay for the series with the episode A Resting Place .

After Schlatter was hired as a voice actor in an episode of the animated series Captain Planet , he dubbed increasingly since 2000 and withdrew more from acting. He lent his voices for video games like EverQuest II and Gothic 3 and for cartoon series like Ben 10 and Cosmo and Wanda - When Elves Help . Originally, Schlatter was also supposed to speak Fry in Futurama . However, he was replaced by Billy West after a second audition .

From 1990 to 1991 Schlatter was in a relationship with Jennifer Aniston , his series partner from Ferris Bueller , the television series for the cult film Ferris makes blue . Since May 7, 1994 he has been married to the publicist Colleen Gunderson , with whom he has three children.
