Englewood is a city in Bergen County , New Jersey , United States . In the census of 2000 had a total population of 26,203 was registered in 2010 one of 27 147 inhabitants.

As of the 2000 census, there are 26,203 people, 9,273 households and 6,481 families in the city. The population density is 2056.3 inhabitants per km². 42.49% of the population are White, 38.98% African American , 0.27% Native American , 5.21% Asian , 0.05% Pacific Islander , 8.50% Other Ethnicity, and 4.50% Mixed Race . 21.76% are Latinos of any race.
Of the 9,273 households, 31.0% have children under the age of 18. 47.9% of these are married couples living together, 17.4% are single mothers, 30.1% are not families, 24.8% consist of single households and 9.0% are people over 65. The average household size is 2 , 79, the average family size 3.29.
23.9% of the population are under 18 years old, 7.4% between 18 and 24, 30.5% between 25 and 44, 24.9% between 45 and 64, 13.3% older than 65. The average age is 37 years. The ratio of women to men is 100: 88.7, for people older than 18 the ratio is 100: 84.2.
