Gabrielle Carteris (born January 2, 1961 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is an American actress .

Life

Carteris trained as an actor in New York and initially only played minor roles in television films and in the daily soap Another World . She later played the role of Andrea Zuckerman in the series Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1995 . After leaving at the end of the fifth season, she had guest appearances in the sixth and eighth seasons as well as in the series finale. In 1995 Carteris hosted the talk show Gabrielle on American television. In 2001 she made a guest appearance in the series JAG - On behalf of honor . In 2003, she took part in the reality show Surreal Life , which filmed the lives of seven celebrities in a house for ten days. Carteris is married to Charles Isaacs and has two daughters. After the death of actor Ken Howard in March 2016, she took over the provisional leadership of the Screen Actors Guild before she was elected chairman in April 2016.
