Jennifer Marie Morrison (born April 12, 1979 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actress .

life and career

Morrison modeled and appeared in commercials as a child . She first received greater attention at the age of ten, when she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids alongside popular basketball player Michael Jordan .

In 1994 she made her film debut alongside Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in Encounters - Intersection . This was followed by appearances in the comedy The Miracle of Manhattan and the horror films Echoes - Voices from the Between Worlds and Dark Legends 2 . Parallel to her work as an actress, she completed her studies in English and theater studies at Loyola University Chicago in just three years. She spent the summer of 2000 training at the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago.

Her breakthrough as an actress came with the series Dr. House , in which she played the role of Dr. Allison Cameron played. In 2005 she starred in Mr. & Mrs. Smith alongside Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie . In the computer game Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars she took on the role of Lt. Kirce James . In the eleventh Star Trek film , which was released in May 2009, she played the role of Winona Kirk, the mother of Captain James T. Kirk . At the end of 2009 she rose in the series Dr. House and played on Broadway in New York. However, she returned to the series for guest appearances. She was also seen as Zoey Pierson in the sixth season of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother . From 2011 to 2018 she played the leading role as Emma Swan in the fantasy series Once Upon a Time produced by ABC . In May 2017, Morrison announced that he would no longer return as a leading actress for a possible seventh season of the series, but only as a guest actress, although this guest role is only intended for the second or final episode of the seventh season.

From December 2006 to August 2007 she was with her fellow actor from Dr. House , Jesse Spencer , engaged. From summer 2012 to July 2013 she was in a relationship with Sebastian Stan , whom she met on the set of the television series Once Upon a Time .
