Jaleel Ahmad White (born November 27, 1976 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actor who worked as Steve Urkel in the television series All Under One Roof from 1989 to 1998 , through which he was best known.
Life
Jaleel White became a well-known television star through his portrayal of Urkel while the series was running. However, he was so categorized by this character that it was difficult for him to receive further offers for roles after the series ended.
In 1999 he starred in the pilot film Finally grown up ?! a young man on his way to growing up. The series was criticized as colorless and no full season was filmed. In the television series Sonic the Hedgehog ( Sonic the crazy hedgehog ) and Sonic Underground White lent the protagonist Sonic his voice.
He also appeared in the film Lies Have Short Legs in 2002 and was seen in the American version of The Voice of Martin . White also made a guest appearance on the Full House series , where he also played Steve Urkel . Also worth mentioning are his appearances in The Prince of Bel-Air , where he appeared as a friend of Ashley ( Tatyana Ali ), Derek. White also made a brief appearance in the musical Dreamgirls in 2006 . In 2007 he made a guest appearance on Boston Legal as the young attorney Kevin Givens. He was also in individual episodes of What's Up, Dad? to see. Since 2012, he chaired the Syfy - game show Total Blackout in which the candidates are confronted with their greatest fears.
In 2011, Jaleel White appeared in the Cee Lo Green music video for Cry Baby .
In 2012, Jaleel White took part in the 14th season of Dancing with the Stars and finished 7th with his partner Kym Johnson .
His German dubbing voice has been Santiago Ziesmer since the series All under one roof .
