Violet moves to a quiet suburb with her mother. When she goes to the local high school, Violet is shocked by the conditions there. The popular students harass the outsiders and are also preferred by the teachers. Violet does not want to stand idly by and strikes back. Together with her friends Cornelia and Mokthar, she founded a school newspaper. They want to bring the "school stars" down from their throne through uncomfortable truths.
