Because by chance, only six weeks after graduating, he got the opportunity to get a job as an assistant to the composer Charles Sydnor during an interview with the famous film composer Mike Post . He got lost while looking for a certain music store in town and ended up in the printing shop of Lux's father, who started a conversation with him and raved about the musical talent of his son, who played as a drummer in a school band for years .
Lux worked in various positions at Post and was allowed to compose for the first time at Post's side for the crime series Palm Beach-Duo in 1991 . This was followed in 1993 for the police series New York Cops - NYPD Blue , for which he was awarded the BMI Film & TV Award in 1995 and 1996 . After about nine years, Lux Post left the team and went into business for himself. Since then, in addition to the compositions of individual television films such as Sabrina Bewitched in Rome , Business Plan to Fall in Love and The Revenge of the Bridesmaids , he has been able to concentrate on the compositions of extremely successful television series such as Boston Public , Boston Legal , Ally McBeal , My Name Is Earl and Sabrina - Totally Verhext! look back.
