The Tricks of the Greatest Magicians (Original title: Breaking the Magician's Code: Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed ) is a television series in which secret tricks of wizards, magicians and trick artists are revealed by an anonymous, masked magician.

The first series, which was first broadcast in the USA between 1997 and 1998, consisted of four programs in which Val Valentino appeared as "The Magician with the Mask" and in the fourth program he finally revealed his identity. In 2002 there was a fifth show in which another magician was behind the mask, whose name was not revealed.

From 2008 to 2009 another series with 13 new programs was broadcast in the USA. The masked magician was also not revealed in the broadcasts recorded in the summer of 2008. Val Valentino acted as producer for this season.

All episodes were directed by Don Weiner . In the original English version, Mitch Pileggi was the narrator for all episodes . The moderator for the first 5 episodes was Mark Thompson . For the 13 programs of the second season, only the narrator led through the program.

In Germany, the first broadcast took place from 1998 to 2002 under the title Aus der Zauber - The secret tricks of the great magicians moderated by Milena Preradovic on Sat.1 . From 2003 to 2007 RTL broadcast the program with Barbara Eligmann as the presenter under the title Barbara Eligmann Unveiled: The Tricks of the Greatest Magicians . In 2009 the show was hosted by Nazan Eckes on RTL under the title Disenchanted - The Tricks of the Greatest Magi . Super RTL finally broadcast the show under the title The Tricks of the Greatest Magicians and showed the new season of the show in addition to the old episodes.
