Mitch Pileggi
Mitchell "Mitch" Craig Pileggi (born April 5, 1952 in Portland , Oregon ) is an American actor , best known for his role as FBI director Walter Skinner in the television series The X-Files . He starred in the Stargate Atlantis series as Colonel Steven Caldwell in a recurring role, and in Sons of Anarchy he also played a recurring role as head of a gang of neo-Nazis .

Pileggi was born to Vito Pileggi, an employee of an armaments company, and Maxine Pileggi, a housewife, and grew up outside the United States for the first seven years, as his father was constantly employed abroad. These trips took him to Turkey , Germany and Saudi Arabia, among others .
As a high school student in Turkey, Pileggi began acting by performing in musicals.
He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and followed in his father's footsteps with his brother, working for an armaments company in Iran for a long time until the two were forced to go to Greece in 1979 by the Islamic Revolution flee.
When he later returned to Austin , Texas , he first appeared in a few local small theaters and then found employment in a few B-movies for a while. Guest roles in Dallas , A Heavenly Family and Walker, Texas Ranger soon followed.

Pileggi is the son of Vito, an employee of an armaments company, and Maxine Pileggi, a housewife. In 1978 he married Debbie Andrews, but they divorced in 1983. He has been married to actress Arlene Pileggi since 1996 or 1997 . The two have a daughter together (* 1998).
Pileggi met his future wife, Arlene Warren, when she was to double lead actress Gillian Anderson in the X-Files in 1993 . She also played the secretary of his role, Walter Skinner.
