Sabrina Bewitched in Rome is a 1998 American television film based on the sitcom Sabrina - Totally Bewitched! based. Tibor Takács directed the film . In 1999, Sabrina Bewitched Australia was followed by another television film for the series.
The film was shot in Rome in the summer of 1998 , together with the leading actress Melissa Joan Hart and her good friend Tara Strong , who plays her best friend Gwen.

Sabrina travels to the Eternal City of Rome to uncover a family secret. When she arrived in Rome, she noticed that her talking cat Salem had snuck into her luggage. When she arrives at the pension, she and Gwen are quartered in a room. Sabrina worries at first because she is a half-witch and her magical powers might be noticed by the new roommate. But by chance both reveal themselves as witches. This is how Sabrina and Gwen become best friends. Sabrina only has 14 days to open the magical lock (a family secret), otherwise her aunt Sophia would stay trapped in it forever.
Then there are two journalists (played by James Fields and Eddie Mills , who was Melissa's boyfriend at the time) who want to expose Sabrina as a witch. But in the end, after a few obstacles, Sabrina falls in love with one of the journalists and solves the family secret.
criticism
The lexicon of international films judged the film to be an "indecisive mixture between fantasy and teen comedy that ingratiates itself on a young audience, but disqualifies itself due to technical defects".

The film won the Young Artist Award in the Best TV Film category .
