Max Pirkis
Max William R. Pirkis (born January 6, 1989 in London ) is a British film actor .
Life
The son of a broker and a publisher first appeared in the school theater before director Peter Weir noticed him and cast him in 2003 for the film Master & Commander - To the End of the World alongside Russell Crowe . For his portrayal of Midshipman Blakeney in Master and Commander , he received the Young Artist Award in 2004. In 2005 he stood in front of the camera for the twelve-part series Rome , in which he embodied the historical personality Octavian , who later became Augustus .
From 2004 to 2007 Pirkis attended Eton College , and then moved to Cambridge University . Here he has been studying theology at St Catharine's College since October 2007 .
His hobbies include cricket and soccer . He also plays the violin and saxophone .
