Christopher Charles "Chris" Wood (born April 14, 1988 ) is an American actor .
Life
Chris Wood made his acting debut in 2013 in the TV movie browser alongside Bebe Neuwirth . He gained national fame for his supporting role as Adam Weaver in the second season of The Carrie Diaries , the prequel to Sex and the City .
In 2014/2015, Wood played the role of Kai Parker on The CW television series Vampire Diaries . In 2016, he played the role of Jake Riley on the CW television series Containment . Since 2016 he has played the role of Mon-El in the superhero drama Supergirl , which is broadcast on The CW.
Chris Wood married his acting partner Melissa Benoist ( Supergirl ) in September 2019 .
