Jimmy Neutron - The Brave Inventor (Original title: Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius ) is an American computer animation film from 2001. The film was produced by Nickelodeon Movies . Due to its success, the television series Jimmy Neutron was created between 2002 and 2006 .

action

Jimmy Neutron is a 10 year old genius and lives in the town of Retroville with family and friends. At the beginning of the film, he launches a satellite built from his parents' toaster into space to make contact with extraterrestrial life forms.

At school, Jimmy and his friends find out about the upcoming opening night of the Retroland amusement park. However, since their parents forbid them to visit the park during school time, the children sneak out of their houses at night to come to the opening of Retroland. Meanwhile, the toaster satellite is picked up by the alien Yokians under the leadership of King Goobot and his seemingly retarded brother Ooblar. They receive Jimmy's message and choose earth as their destination. While Jimmy and all the other kids from Retroville are partying in the amusement park, the Yokians kidnapping all the adults in town.

When the children notice the absence of all parents the next day, they initially enjoy their new freedom, but soon realize that they need the adults after all. Jimmy finds out that the Yokians kidnapped her on their home planet. Under Jimmy's guidance, the children convert the rides from Retroland into spacecraft and start the rescue mission. On the planet of the Yokians they are captured and learned that their parents are to be sacrificed to the chicken demon Poultra. With the help of Jimmy's robot dog Robbie, the children manage to break out of captivity, free the adults and escape on board a Yokian spaceship. They manage to destroy the alien fleet, only King Goobot and Ooblar can escape and swear to Jimmy and the other children that they have not seen them for the last time.

All children and adults from Retroville will eventually get back to earth safely with the Yokian spaceship.
