Detlef Bierstedt
Detlef Bierstedt (born June 10, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German actor , dubbing and radio play speaker . His voice is best known through numerous dubbing by the actors George Clooney , Bill Pullman , John C. Reilly , Stellan Skarsgård , John Carroll Lynch , Michael McGrady and Jonathan Frakes . He also occasionally dubbed Jason Alexander and Robert Englund .
He is the father of Marie Bierstedt , who also works as a radio play and voice actor.

Theater, film and television
Detlef Bierstedt completed his acting training at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in East Berlin from 1973 to 1976 and received his first stage engagement at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam . Further engagements followed at the State Drama Theaters in Berlin , including appearances in the stands and at the Renaissance Theater . In addition, Bierstedt played various supporting roles in DEFA and DFF films.
His move to West Germany in 1985 was followed by guest roles in television series. He played the recurring role of Brinkmann jr in Three Ladies from the Grill . as well as in Edel & Starck , Alarm for Cobra 11 - The Autobahn Police , Bülowbogen Practice , Der Hausgeist , Berlin Mitte Clinic - Life in Readiness and Peter Strohm . In early 2010 he took on the role of Kimmo Kankunnen in Anna und die Liebe . In the TV series Babylon Berlin , which has been broadcast since 2017, he embodies the Lord Mayor of Berlin, Gustav Boess .

Bierstedt achieved fame primarily through his film synchronization work . Since 1978 he has been used as a speaker in over a thousand productions. In addition to Martin Umbach , Bierstedt is repeatedly cast with the voice of George Clooney, including in all episodes of the hospital series Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme (1995-2009) or in cinema productions such as Batman & Robin (1997), Project: Peacemaker (1997), The Narrow Grat (1998) and O Brother, Where Art Thou? - A Mississippi Odyssey (2000). He also lends his voice to CIA agent and family man Stanley "Stan" Smith in the animated series American Dad and Yusaku Kudo in Detective Conan . Furthermore, Bierstedt spoke the "creator" in the game Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for Nintendo 3DS , which was released in March 2014. In 2016 he took over the voice of Simon Brezhnev in the anime series Durarara !! ( Drrr !! ). In 2016, he lent British actor Ben Abell his German voice in Victoria for the role of Rowland Hill . Most recently he dubbed the role of Stellan Skarsgård as Bill Anderson in the British-American film musical Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018).

In addition to his work in the dubbing studio, Detlef Bierstedt also works as a speaker for radio plays, audio books, documentaries and commercials. Fans of the radio play series Die Drei ??? know his voice from the episodes 118 The gloomy legacy and 165 Im Schatten des Giganten as well as from the live staging of the debut episode Der Superparagei on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the radio play series, during which he played several roles in the Hamburg Color Line Arena in 2004 Guest speaker appeared. Since 2000 Bierstedt lends his voice to the journalist Bill Connolly in the new edition of ghost hunter John Sinclair ; since 2005 he can be heard alongside his daughter Marie Bierstedt, who is also active in the dubbing and radio play business, in a fixed role in the mystery radio play series Revelation 23 .
