Bernhard Hennen (* 1966 in Krefeld ) is a German author of fantasy literature and historical stories.

Life

After studying German , Middle Eastern archeology and history , he worked as a radio journalist for Westdeutscher Rundfunk . At the same time he was editor of the fantasy magazine " ZauberZeit ". He wrote numerous adventure books for the best-selling role-playing game in Germany, Das Schwarze Auge . As a radio employee , he traveled to Central America and the Middle East .

For the first time as a novelist he appeared together with Wolfgang Hohlbein with the trilogy The Year of Gripping . Other books on the Aventurian game world followed . The novel The Tempest from the Griffin trilogy was awarded a prize.

With The Night of the Snake , he converted Friedrich Dürrenmatt's novel The Judge and His Executioner into the fantasy genre. However, due to a failure by the publisher, the planned reference to the template was missing. This fact earned the author numerous allegations of plagiarism .

In 2015 he and other authors founded the Fantastic Authors Network (PAN).

Bernhard Hennen is married and lives in Krefeld. He has a strong friendship with Wolfgang Hohlbein . Just like this he is a fan of strategic tabletop - simulations and uses his large collection of historic tin figures armies one to the frequently occurring in his novels battles to simulate conceptually.
