Tidal world

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The tidal world is a series of fantasy novels set in a fantasy world also known as the tidal world . This is hit by a comet fragment: the consequences are gigantic tsunamis , a global climate catastrophe and the awakening of a mysterious magic that apparently turns dreams and ideas into reality.

After the first series of novels, Piper Verlag only offered to end the series with one novel instead of the planned eight more. The authors did not take advantage of this offer. The series of novels is currently on hold.

Authors

The novels are written by the authors Bernhard Hennen , Hadmar von Wieser , Thomas Finn and Karl-Heinz Witzko , who together have given themselves the pseudonym Magus Magellan . Magus stands for the magic on the tidal world and Magellan for the explorer component in the novels. The authors are known for their publications for the role-playing game Das Schwarze Auge .

Books

The tidal world saga spans a fictional time frame of around 50 years and is roughly divided into three novel seasons.

The books won the German Role Playing Prize in 2003 and 2004 for the best novel.
