German role play award
The German Role Playing Game Award (DRSP) was awarded for the years 2000 to 2005 and comprised the largest public survey in the German-speaking role - playing game scene .
Award
The public survey took place under the name "Archont Award" once a year from the beginning of November until the end of the year until 2002, and the winners were announced at the beginning of the following year. The questionnaire identified the most played games, the best products of the previous year, the most famous people and the most popular authors and artists of the German-speaking role-playing game scene in eighteen categories. While there were 632 questionnaire participants in 2000, the number of participants between 2003 and 2005 was over 2100 in each case. From 2000 to 2004 the survey was carried out by Uwe Mundt (Dogio) on drosi.de. The 2005 survey was carried out on rollenspiel-index.de by x-zine.de. The project fell asleep afterwards.
In 2004, a jury prize was awarded independently of the audience prize by a ten-member jury with the three categories “Product of the Year”, “Person of the Year” and “Team of the Year” - each based on the German-speaking role-playing scene. Products from 2003 were available for selection. The jury was made up of journalists from Germany , Austria and Switzerland . The prize was to be awarded every two years, but 2004 was the only award.
Other role play prizes in the German-speaking area
The German Role Playing Prize (DRP) has been awarded since 2014 , with a jury deciding on the winners. The award is presented at the NORDCON in Hamburg.
