Envoyer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Envoyer was a monthly, German-language role - playing magazine. It was first published in November 1996 and had a print run of 4000 in 2008. The editor-in-chief was André Wiesler from January 2006 to December 2008 (among other things editor-in-chief of LodlanD ); before that it was Christian Fischer. Since January 2009, the Envoyer no longer appears independently, but as part of the SpielXPress magazine .

As its own magazine, the Envoyer had its own editorial team, but also used articles submitted by its readers more frequently. In terms of content, the Envoyer was not system-bound, but provided information about new releases for various role-playing games. In particular, the magazine kept providing information about smaller, independent role-playing systems. In addition, there were regular reports on products that could be useful for gaming (e.g. films, soundtracks). In addition, with the help of the readers, Envoyer's own role-playing game system Paliomêl was created, in which very different cultures and beings were invented for a fantasy world.

The “Weltenretter” in particular, a parodying representation of role-playing situations, was an integral part of all editions.

The November 2008 edition of the Envoyer was the last edition under its own name. For economic reasons, the magazine could no longer be kept in its usual form. Since December 2008 the Envoyer has been running as a “booklet within a booklet” in the bimonthly magazine SpielXPress, but to a lesser extent than before.
