Gerd Staiger

Gerd Staiger (born November 30, 1930 - June 19, 2019 ) was a German actor and director .

Life

Gerd Staiger was mainly engaged as an actor and director at the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam . He had other tasks at the 1978 newly founded Potsdamer Kabarett Obelisk , where he directed the opening program. In 1993 he worked as an actor in Shakespeare's Coriolan at the Salzburg Festival . His roles in DEFA and television films were numerous .

Gerd Staiger was married to the architect Kerstin Döring and lived in Schwerin .
