Atemnot is a television film from the crime series Tatort on ARD and ORF . The film was produced by Norddeutscher Rundfunk under the direction of Thomas Jauch and first broadcast on television on January 22, 2006. It is the crime scene episode 611.

Chief Detective Charlotte Lindholm is investigating her seventh case, which ends for her in a private disaster and she has to accept the death of her friend Tobias Endres.

action

Herwig Gruber, managing director of a food company, comes off the motorway at high speed. The accident ends fatally for him. Since Gruber was involved in a food scandal almost two years ago, the LKA Hannover assumes an attack. Gruber was acquitted in court at the time, but the relatives of the victims could still have taken revenge. Lindholm therefore first seeks out Mr Pickert, whose daughter is severely handicapped by a tomato sauce contaminated with pesticides. He is not exactly shaken by the death of his trial opponent, but Lindholm does not consider him a murderer.

She then contacted the renowned Fisher & Bell law firm, which represents the interests of the food company. There she witnessed when Mrs. Gruber accused Wolfgang Bell that he was partly to blame for her husband's death. She also discovered to her surprise that her boyfriend Tobias had previously worked as a lawyer at Fisher & Bell. After Liane Wagner, a former secretary of the law firm, is found dead, the company moves even more into the focus of the investigator. But Lindholm also becomes suspicious of Tobias, who seems to be hiding something from her. In the past, Liane Wagner not only had an affair with Endres, but had extorted both Gruber and someone else on a large scale. Regular cash deposits on your account confirm this.

In the meantime, forensics cannot prove any outside influence in Gruber's accident, so that suicide is likely. Mrs. Gruber confirms her husband's increasing depression and the blackmailing of Liane Wagner could well be related to it. But there are more and more references to Tobias Endres. It seems that Wagner blackmailed him, too, which he absolutely cannot afford in his current position. At least that's how his former employer Wolfgang Bell puts it. He cleverly provides the investigator with pieces of evidence that speak against her own friend, so that she even has him written out for a manhunt. Since he is now desperately trying to prove his innocence, he meets with Silke Old Mail, a friend of Liane Wagner, who wants to help him. But in doing so he falls into a trap set by Wolfgang Bell. Before he can speak to Silke Old Körper, he finds her lying unconscious on the floor and Bell is standing in front of him armed with a pistol.

In the meantime, Lindholm also realizes, based on incriminating documents that Liane Wagner had hidden, that Bell had deceived her and drives to Endres to apologize for her suspicions against him. She gets into the argument between Endres and Bell and thus learns that Liane Wagner had also blackmailed Bell, which her friend now wanted to continue. Bell and Endres are fatally hit in an exchange of fire.

background

There are increasing tensions in Charlotte Lindholm's private environment. Although she is friends with the State Secretary Tobias Endres, she still lives in a shared apartment with Martin Felser. When he learns of her plans that she wants to move into an apartment with Endres, he reacts angrily. Due to the sudden death of Endres, their flat share and their friendly relationship to each other will continue.

The shooting takes place in Hanover and Lüneburg .

criticism

TV Spielfilm pointed with the thumbs up, gave two out of three points for tension and judged: "In this exciting case, the inspector goes through hell - and the viewer with her."

Alexander Krei from Oddsmeter.de was of the opinion: “The latest ARD 'Tatort' impresses with its fantastic acting performances without exception. [...] It is noticeable that one learns more and more frequently about the private life of the detective in German TV thrillers. This is also the case with Charlotte Lindholm's latest case. Although the amalgamation of police service and privacy seems to be getting out of hand, that's what makes this crime thriller really exciting in the overall picture. "
