Jörg Widmer is a German cameraman .
Life
Jörg Widmer comes from southern Germany. After an apprenticeship as a photographer, he specialized in photographing cars for advertising for a few years. After an internship at Südwestfunk , he became a camera assistant. He has been working as a cameraman and steadicam operator since 1988 . In 1994 he was honored with the Bavarian Film Prize in the camera category. At the end of June 2020, Jörg Widmer became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences .
