Stuart MacBride

Stuart MacBride (born February 27, 1969 in Dumbarton , Scotland ) is a Scottish crime writer . He became known through his series with Logan McRae as the main character; ten books in the series have so far been published in German.

MacBride's works are assigned to the "Tartan Noir" ("black tartan "). This is a style of Scottish detective novels, which are characterized by a particularly gloomy mood and cynical attitude. The main characters in the novels are usually characterized as antiheroes , as is MacBride's character Logan MacRae.

Life

MacBride grew up in Aberdeen and studied at the University of Edinburgh . He is married and now lives in the country north of Aberdeen.
