Audiobook Hamburg is a German audio book publisher based in Hamburg . It was founded in 1999 and is one of the leading audio book publishers in German-speaking countries.
history
The publishing house was founded in 1999 by Margrit Osterwold . Initially all titles appeared under the name Audiobook Hamburg , the program is now divided into three labels: the adult programs Audiobook Hamburg , OSTERWOLD audio and the children's and youth label Silberfisch . The publisher publishes around 170 new publications each year. The focus is on fiction titles.
Under the label Audiobook Hamburg there are publications from almost all genres - from poetry to fiction and life support. Great national and international authors such as Friedrich Ani , Anna Gavalda , John le Carré , Arno Geiger , Yasmina Reza , Tomas Tranströmer , Haruki Murakami , Pascal Mercier , Muriel Barbery , Daniel Glattauer , Max Goldt , Marc-Uwe Kling , Herta Müller , Jo Nesbø , Nele Neuhaus , Eoin Colfer , Louise Hay , Monika Peetz and Doreen Virtue have their homes there.
The children's and youth audiobook label Silberfisch was founded in 2007 under the umbrella of Hörbuch Hamburg. In addition to classics by Jules Verne , Emily Brontë and Michael Ende , current titles by Andreas Steinhöfel , Neil Gaiman , Philip Pullman , Janne Teller , Kristin Cashore , Rick Riordan , Eoin Colfer , Judith Kerr , Rolf Lappert and Nina Blazon , you can also find Pixi audio books , Conni and Max audio plays as well as the Freche Mädchen audio book series have their place in the program.
