Marlen Diekhoff
Marlen Diekhoff (born May 16, 1938 in Bremerhaven ) is a German actress .
Life
At her father's request, she first became a physics laboratory assistant at the University of Hanover and then attended the Hanover University of Music and Drama . From 1961 to 1971 she played at the Staatstheater Hannover , where she played Jessica in The Merchant of Venice in 1963. From 1968 to 1972 she worked at the Staatstheater Stuttgart , where she appeared in Ibsens Nora in 1972, and from 1972 to 1978 at the Schauspiel Frankfurt .
In Frankfurt she became known in 1977 as Fräulein Isenbarn in Ernst Barlach's Der Poor Vetter and in 1978 in the title role of Penthesilea . In 1979/80 Diekhoff worked at the Bremen Theater and was seen here as Elisabeth in Maria Stuart .
In 1980 she became a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. Here she embodied Olga in Three Sisters (1980), Julia in The Fiesco Conspiracy in Genoa (1981), Hekuba in Euripides ' Die Troerinnen (1984), Adele in " Weininger's Night " (1986), Else Reissner in Frank Wedekinds Music (1987) and Claudia Galotti in Emilia Galotti (1992). For her performance in Wolken.Heim von Elfriede Jelinek (1993), she and her five teammates were voted Actress of the Year in 1994.
This was followed by other roles in Jelinek plays and participation in the performance of Don Carlos (2004). In addition to her stage work, she also appeared in front of the camera several times, especially in the multi-part series Schulz & Schulz at the side of Götz George and in 1991 with a leading role in the feature film Mau Mau . She is a member of the German Academy of Performing Arts .
