Dietmar Mues
Joachim Dietmar Mues [ myːs ] (born December 21, 1945 in Dresden ; † March 12, 2011 in Hamburg ) was a German theater and film actor , screenwriter and writer . He was also known as a speaker for radio plays and readings .
Life
Dietmar Mues completed his training as an actor from 1963 to 1966 at the Hamburg University of Music and Performing Arts . After engagements in Kiel, Nuremberg and Mannheim, from 1973 he spent twelve years in the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg.
His most important theater works were with Jürgen Flimm , Jérôme Savary , Luc Bondy , Ernst Schröder and Heinrich Koch . In 1978 he got paid for his role in Dario Fos Don't Get Paid! the Actor Award at the North German Theater Meeting . From 1986 he worked as a freelance actor, as a spokesperson for TV productions (including Spiegel TV and Extra 3 ) and as a screenwriter. He has appeared in more than a hundred film and television roles, including the TV series Tatort .
He was married to Sibylle Mues (née Buda), a teacher; his three sons, Wanja , Jona and Woody, are also active in the acting field.
Mues and his wife Sibylle died on March 12, 2011 in a traffic accident in Hamburg when they were hit by a car on a sidewalk.
The social scientist Günter Amendt and the sculptor Angela Kurrer were also killed in the accident; the actor Peter Striebeck and his wife were injured. On April 2, 2011, Mues and his wife were buried in the Ohlsdorf cemetery. The person who caused the accident, suffering from epilepsy , had already caused several serious traffic accidents in previous years. He was sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment for negligent homicide and negligent bodily harm . The court also ordered the driver's license to be revoked .
theatre
After his time with the ensemble of the Hamburger Schauspielhaus, Mues appeared in the following pieces, among others:
- Dreams, Death and Felt Slippers , a play about the writer Karl May and his works, which he has performed at irregular intervals on different stages for 30 years. Mues spoke the Saxon dialect and was accompanied by trombonist Michael Danner and soprano singer Youling Gou. The play was Mues' first own production.
- Outside red and inside ... is an evening with songs and stories by Kurt Tucholsky , which Mues repeatedly performed together with the pianist Joachim Kunzsch and the actress Hannelore Hoger on various stages all over Germany.
- After Play (by Anne Meara ), with Hannelore Hoger and Gerhard Garbers , performed at the Hamburger Kammerspiele .
- Life to Men by Thomas Brussig . Mues has performed this solo piece several times at the Winterhuder Fährhaus since April 2003 and was thus on tour through Germany.
- The captain von Köpenick at the comedy on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin . The play, edited and staged by Jürgen Wölffer , received positive reviews, but it was not a success with the public.
- In addition, there were always evenings and appearances at the political office .
Dietmar Mues and jazz
Dietmar Mues has been working with jazz musicians in various formations for a number of years, whereby it was important to him that "music and language do not stand side by side, but rather form a unit". His close friend Dieter Glawischnig was usually involved in this.
